Hawaii III: Conference and around

Jo and Nadia joined us and we stayed in a suite. This was on the walk to the conference on Sunday morning to register.

Sunday night Llew decided to cook and we had Daphne and Angie over for dinner. Honey soy turkey, stir fry veges and noodles, pina coladas and pineapple wine!

Monday night a few of us went to a Hibachi grill.

Tuesday night was the Brouhaha. Just a dinner. Really not worth the $75 or the $8 drinks on top. A bit of houla dancing and then we went downstairs to the Tapa bar for a few more drinks.

Shopping was good along Waikiki, if you have millions. Gucci, Chanel, Tiffany, Prada, Yves Saint Laurent, Oakley, I could go on...

The Purdue ENE booth at the exhibition. This is where I spent time when not in sessions (most of Monday and Tuesday). I did actually answer a few questions.

Wednesday we took down the booth at midday. Just time for one last session before PK bought me a few drinks and...

more souvenier shopping!

This was our suite which was the penthouse (17th floor) with three bedrooms and two bathrooms.

And this was the view! Pretty good.

Overall it was OK, but not really worth the flying time or the money spent to see what we saw. Apparently the other islands are much better, but are also expensive so we didn't get there. A trip we had to do, even if only to say that we have been to Hawaii!
