As I mentioned last post, Alice and her father took us to the The First Unitarian Society Of Madison where Alice and Steve were married which is a Frank Lloyd Wright designed building. It is interesting, but not always functional. There are lots of rhombi, including the bell, the floor tiles and the toilet stalls! The floor is a particular colour, the roof is low, there are lots of windows, a fire place where the fire is on the floor and a huge pipe-organ. There used to be a curtain at the back of the main part but it was made out of old cloth and disintegrated. The only bit left is behind glass. The bell used to hang in the front, but it was too noisy for neighbours so it is inside now.
