London England

We arrived safe and sound in London last Friday (yeh, sorry it has taken so long, but travel and internet are somewhat uncompatible). First stop Saturday morning was Borough Market on the south bank near London Bridge. Huge market, got some nice cheese, vegetables and some meat for Matthew.

Next stop on Sunday was the Tower of London. We spent 3 hours wandering around and it was great. Saw the crown jewels, but couldn't take photos of them of course.

White tower is in the middle.

Look closely and you will see the ravens. It was a myth that if the ravens ever left, the monarch would fall. Of course, proved wrong, but now ravens are kept there with their wings clipped.
The armoury was pretty cool.
This is the description for the next two photos. A 6 foot 9 inch suit of armour, and one for a child.

Chop.
For a gun, really.
Chapel.

Henry VIII. Huge.
Gin and beer were the names of these statues.
Steam-powered automatic rifle.

So ended the trip to London. Next stop Germany on Monday.
